    • The Coffee Cart will be open during lunch on Tuesdays and Fridays, starting September 26th.  If you would put in on the hall monitors as well I would appreciate it.
    • French club meeting Tuesday, October 26th in Mrs. Pierce’s room.
    • The ASVAB will be offered to interested juniors and seniors on October 11.  The ASVAB is an excellent FREE opportunity for students wanting to learn more about their strengths and careers that relate to their skills and interests.  Students interested in military careers are strongly encouraged to take the ASVAB as it is also used for enlistment purposes.  To sign up or get more information about the ASVAB, come to the counseling office!
    • Transportation available after Friday night football games. If you need a ride from CMH field back to AHS, there will be a bus available for those who need to be picked up. Please, do NOT walk home from CMH Field.
    • Have you heard about how much fun it is to host a Walldorf, Germany Exchange student for 3 or 4 days in your home while they stay in Astoria?  Are you interested in traveling to Walldorf, Germany during Spring Break 2018?  If so, please come to our Astoria/Walldorf Student Exchange gathering on Wednesday, September 27th during lunch in the library reference room!  We can give you lots of information and answer your all of your questions!   Don't miss out on this great opportunity!  See Megan Schacher, Andrew Schauermann or Mrs. Ploghoft for questions!  See you Wednesday!
    • Open Mic: Open Mic has returned to AHS once again! September 28th during lunch in the library. Come and watch your peers perform: Live music, poetry, comedy, beatboxing or sign up as part of our production team. The production team consists of but is not limited to: Posts artists, film team, photography, setup/takedown etc. Questions, please see Dylan H.
      • The Activity Fair is coming on October 12! Be sure to sign up your club, sport, senior project, or other activity for a spot at this year's fair in the counseling office!
      • Juniors:  PSATs are being held at AHS on October 11th.  College-bound juniors are encouraged to take this test.  Space is limited.  To sign up, pay $15 in the Main Office and bring the receipt to Sarah in the Counseling Office to sign up.  Fee waivers are available - see a counselor.

         

    • College Representatives are coming!  Sign up to visit with an admissions officer from Washington and Oregon colleges outside the counseling office or at beyondastoriahighschool.com.  Students from all grades are welcome to attend these visits.
    • First Talent Search field trip of the year, yay! We are headed to OSU on Friday September 29th. For all Talent Search students 10th through 12th grade. We are going to check out the college of engineering, get an admissions presentation, and tour the campus. It is going to be SO FUN. Permission forms are due on September 21st. 
      • NET SHED: First meeting will be held Thursday, September 28th during office hours.
      • Math Lab 3:15-4:45 on Mon, Tues, and Wed.  It is from 2:15-3:45 on Thursday.  Math lab meets in the library.
